Only members or ? I´m not blocked just visit your site and I saw that many people who installed IP2Country new or did an update that they fixed their problems.
"they get an error where it explains there ip`s have been blocked" Invalid IP error or what error exactly do you mean ? |

I decided to install re-install sentinal full 2.5 again and updated with the new import ip to country and a member still gets this when I asked him to check
Be SURE to include the following information in any email!
User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0)
Remote Address: 217.46.246.242
Client IP: none
Forwarded For: none
do you think its definately the ip to country that the problem here?
could the United Kingdom ip to country be wrong?
is it possible I could manually allow this member somehow?
Cheers

I did a search on the IP in 2.5.0 and, yes, it does show up in the UK. I was hoping it was in the "Reserved" range.
"G", "S", is it "ok" for the client IP to not be valued? I am honestly not sure but wonder if that is a clue. |

Yes thats a valid UK IP.
mrix I would stick with the IP2C data you have.
Please send your user to my site at www.code-authors.com to see if he has the same problem.
I'm not sure why this is happening, there does not seem to be a specific 'ban' message or atleast the indivudual didnt send it to mrix.
I'm not convinced the ban is because the Client IP is empty but I guess a good way to test that would be to add the users IP to the excluded range. If the user still gets blocked then that would indicate a check is done to ensure that the Client IP has numeric data.
I have a feeling, based purely on the fact that we have never failed to remedy this by importing all the IP2C data to the Country Ranges that it has something to do with the users machine, possibly firewall configuration. Thats purely a speculation. |

Right lets take this from the top to save time...
You have imported ALL the IP2C data using the Sentinel import ranges thing.
You have done a search using Sentinels IP Search box and the users IP is only listed as coming from the UK - the IP does not appear under the Blocked Ranges or Blocked IP categories.
You have dDos protection, Santy Worm, Flood Blocker turned off in Sentinels main config and you do not have 'block proxies' turned on.
The users IP or the range it is in does not appear in the htaccess file (it shouldnt be there, if it was they wouldnt have seen the message).
Is there anything else in the message he gets, for example 'You are using an invalid IP' or or some other message?
Sorry for this being a long post but others have had this problem and they have ALL been fixed by importing ALL the IP2C data so I'm trying to figure out what is different in your case. |

Client IP: none seems to be a problem. One user of our forum said they where always blocked in earlier nukesentinel versions if there is none.
i don´t think that there is a problem with the santy worm protection on so try upload every country and see if this helps. |

Yes, the problem is down to not loading ALL the IP2C data for all the countries which is why I asked if you had imported them ALL.
Santy worm setting shouldnt affect anything but I was working on the assumption you had loaded ALL the IP2C data and was trying to look elsewhere for the cause.
Edited by me (typo) |
