Forums profile vs. Your Account profile

Back when I was running phpnuke 7.8, I recall a discussion on another forum about a problem managing signatures. Users that would change their signature in the Your Account profile would show up as html in forum posts unless an admin manually fixed it.

The above post talks about editing the YourAccount/navbar.php file to link the Your Account profile directly to the forum profile.

My question is, since I now have RN 2.02.02, is this still an issue? Do the 2 profile systems work together? What is the purpose of having 2 profiles on a website?

The two systems work together but not entirely so.
For foum signatures and avatars, these still need to be set in the forum profile as the data for these is forum specific.
Remember that the BBtoNuke (ported phpBB Forum) is actually the second forum that was integrated with nuke and as such, the forum was not part of the original design spec of the content management system.

Total integration of the data is something we are abviously keen to achieve and some add-on systems have had some success with this already. Doing it properly though requires some extensive work.
