...been perusing the forums quite a bit and haven't run across this one yet, so I thought I'd ask:

Objective:
- PhpBB 2.0.21 forums, downgrade to 2.0.20 version included in Raven.
- Preserve posts, user accounts

Environment:
- Hosted SQL
- phpMyAdmin 2.7.0-pl2

I spent some time on the phone with my hosting provider who let me know the only imports available with their tools were csv format. I was also advised to use their 'default' values during the export. However, I get a #1064 at line 1.

Fortunately I guess my DB is intact, but I'm trying to figure this out with little success because I'm a complete mySQL/phpMyAdmin n00b. Shocked

Anyone have thoughts as to where I went wrong?

Thanks very much,
MrE.

Are you trying to go from a standalone instance of phpBB to RavenNuke? If so, unfortunately, I don't think that will be an easy task given how phpBB is integrated into PHP-Nuke 7.6 (which is the "core" behind RavenNuke).

Has anyone out there already done this type of conversion? (I have not.)

Essentially you'll need to get phpBB to phpNuke first - my database converter can do that. And then see the other posts about moving from phpNuke to RavenNuke

Thanks for the replies, guys - I went out of town a couple days after I made the original post.

This is precisely what I intend to do, Montego.

I'm concerned about a couple things: 1) I'm not good with phpMyAdmin, and 2) the scripts I have seen require me to merge the two sql databases...a process which has failed so far.

The ideal situation would be to have a script which could use credentials between databases, merge the like pieces and create a third DB...basically a nondestructive process. ( Does it exist? ::crossingfingers:: )

I will try your scripts, Evaders.

Thanks,
MrE.

Assuming you don't have the same table names, nothing should conflict. phpMyAdmin has the option to copy tables, if you are concerned about it destroying your original data.
