Sorry for all my posts, I just really need my site to be clean and clear. When I try to send PMs, I get this message:
You must specify a username to whom to send this message.
I always enter the name of the user i want to pm and I still get this message.
What can I do?
Thanks. |

Just to clarify, are they site users or admin users? |

If they are the same, that's fine. But PMs only work with site users. Otherwise, if your site sends other notifications (e.g. registrations, feedback, news submitted, etc.), the forum email should work fine. |

Does the user have the settings to notify on receipt of PM? |

I doubt the update is the problem. Is this the same problem originally described in this thread? |

Sorry for jumping in but is the username you are typing in correct? Don't forget it is case sensitive. Also, does the username have any none alpha-numerical charcters in it? |

I thought you said the user received the PM, just no notification of it by email. Confused...
What Nuke distribution are you using, and what forum mods have you added, if any? Is this a new site, or a converted site? |

No we can't send pm
It says: "You must specify a username to whom to send this message"
nuke distribution i don'T know it was already installed
Your Current BBtoNuke version is 2.0.21 And your PHP-Nuke version is 7.9
And we have not add any mods to the forum |

Oh. You updated from the previous version of bbtonuke, but neither works, correct?
One possibility is that it cannot validate the user name - check your phpMyAdmin to make sure all the tables check OK. Repair them, if necessary.
Another possibility is that somehow the username field has a different form name value that the script is expecting. I really doubt that unless someone modified a script. |

Hum, we don't have access to the phpmyadmin, we are hosted by a web hoster that doesn't give us access to phpmyadmin, maybe we should find another free webhoster? |

You can try optimizing the DB from Nuke Admin, but it would be nice to have this capability via phpMyAdmin. Can you see the error log? |
