Can anyone tell me how to get this theme (Portal Pro) working in Raven 76 v.2.02.02? The Ravennuke76 package is great, but I really would like to use the portal pro theme. Thanks in advance!

Can you provide a link to where it can be downloaded?

http://www.phpnuke.org/modules.php?name=Cool_Stuff&op=details&id=2

I purchased a copy of it a few months ago. I could send you a copy though.

I can also post the theme.php code for you. I am not sure how though, because I tried earlier and it would not let me.

It looks like it should work out of the box. I just wanted to check it was for the right version of Nuke.

What problems are you encountering?

When I switch from one of the themes that came with Raven to the Portal Pro theme, the only thing that appears is the logo. Every page is blank except the logo in the upper left corner.

If you turn 'display_errors' on do you get any error messages?

Do you have the 5 news articles and at least 4 news categories create that the theme seems to require?
If so and its still not working I'll be happy to take a look at it for you.

Yeah, I have five articles and four categories, but still have the problem.
I also have error reporting turned on, but no reported errors Sad

And you turned on error reporting in config.php as jakec suggested and got no errors?

Actually it was turned off... here is my error:

Quote:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function ads() in /webroot/edited by Guardian/themes/Portal-Pro/theme.php on line 135

Any ideas how to remedy this? I am guessing there is some conflict due to the advertising system.

That shouldnt stop the theme from loading but if I remember correctly nuke doesn't use the ads() function in 7.6 it should be banners.

If you want to send me the zip via email I can take a look but it looks like the author has thrown some home spun code into the non-standard theme.

WMrider - its working.
Here is the test site so you can see it

Please note this theme is virtually an antique and does not support the rendering of right hand side blocks. It is really poor code from a HTML 4.01 Transitional compliance perspective but I appreciate you paid $10 for it and want to use it.

If you like what you see, ;et me know and I'll tidy the fixes and zip it up for you.

Yeah, I would like to use it. I like the fact that it does not allow right blocks, it is actually perfect for my site. I used it on a previous site with phpnuke 7.9. However, I am constructing a new site, and I was sick of all the problems. I thought I would give Raven's package a try because I have heard so, so, so, so many good things about it. Smile

Thanks a lot for everything. I really appreciate it. Check your PM.
