Forgive me if this is the wrong forum for this question...

Will RN 2.10 have current versions of underlying components (e.g., NSN Sentinel recently published 2.05.05) when it is released, or have those components frozen at some previous version?

it will have the latest-and-greatest of everything... That is why we need to get it released quickly before another phpBB and NukeSentinel patch are released! ROTFL

In addition, upgrade scripts are currently being written. For NukeSentinel, they are smart enough to recognize what version your site is currently and upgrade to 2.5.05 (at this writing).
