For some reason link in welcome email came as a plain text, not clickable link... |

I ´m unable to reproduce this. All links are clickable. I used German and English for the registration.. So possible its something with your e-mail accoount. Try it again !
The only small issue I found is that the welcome email I recieved is in my spam folder. |

just tried it also and same as Susann, could not reproduce this, it must be something in your email settings |

I had the same prolem with montego's and kguske's sites. If I'm not mistaken, at least one of them knows how to fix that.
At the same time, welcome email from ravenphpscripts and code-51area went through just fine. I don't believe it is my mail account problem, it is rather how yahoo interprets nuke emails. |

I don´t use yahoo but I´m quite sure that` s not possible to activate accounts by using lycos.de because the activations links are not complete. The link takes you to:
http://www.mynewsiteonline.de/modules.php?name=Your_Account&op=activ and the rest is missing while a similar username works perfect with an email account from web.de.
Because I know there are problems with lycos I just don´t use it for registrations and I believe nobody of my thousands of members ever tried to register with an lycos email account. |

No, it's not the case here. The link comes as a whole, but it's not clickable - the text is there, but html got stripped. I just copied link to browser and I'm good to go, but I don't want my new users to go through this. I have only 16 users at the moment, and every single one that drops the registration because he could not click on the link is a noticable loss to me.... |

As far as I know it is up to the mail client to decide if it wants to make a link "clickable" or not. If you tell your mail client you want plain text, for example, you don't get HTML links. Other clients see really long links with ?'s and other nonsense (like the activation link) and get confused and don't reliably make them links even when you told it you want HTML mail.
I don't think Nuke has anything to do with this. |

You could include an extra information in the welcome e-mail for yahoo user and lycos too. I know its not the solution but some sites use this and its a sticky at phpBB.de if I remember correctly. |

HMMM. Yeah. No. Anyway. I just checked back and found that while my problem with montegoscripts was with email, it was a different problem. So looks like no other way than using Susann's option of adding info to email and to other places. Thanks, guys |
