I got the new RavenNuke and I have no editor at all... I do not want to use FCK because its huge and weird.. Does RavenNuke not have an editor? I know my Nuke 8.0 has one at the bottom of the text boxes..

In 2.02, the WYSIWYG editor is an addon. In 2.10, which is due to be released very soon, the WYSIWYG is already integrated. But even in 2.02, adding the WYSIWYG editor is a pretty simple process.

There is a separate discussion about why we chose FCKeditor over others. nukeWYSIWYG (which includes FCKeditor) was designed to support multiple WYSIWYG editors. But you can make FCKeditor use the same limited functions available in TinyMCE used in Nuke 8.0. You can even make it look the same by changing the skin. But the question is, why?

Although TinyMCE is a fine editor, the problem with PHP-Nuke versions 7.7 and up is how poorly it was implemented. That's a major reason why RavenNuke uses 7.6 as a base. Furthermore, Raven and montego and others on the team fixed thousands of bugs, problems, performance and compliance issues, not to mention security.

Then how can I make it smaller? Right now it takes up half my text boxes.. It has FAR too many options on it.. Can I remove some of these options and make it smiliar to Tiny MCE? The skin doesnt bother me.. Its the fact there is 4 rows of options that I personally don't need.

The toolbar configurations (there are several) are defined in the includes/FCKeditor/fckeditor.js file. See Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! for a discussion on that.

Just remove the portions you don't need from the toolbars in that file, upload the file, and it will be smaller (don't forget to refresh or clear your browser cache).

When is the new version coming out? I may just wait so I can start fresh.. I'll have to import my site from Nuke 8.0 to it..

Assuming you mean the new version of RN, I suspect as early as next week, though that's Raven's decision.
