Hello,

I just want to let you know that you have had a great product. I have used RavenNuke76, then upgraded to the 2.10.

Now I did the unthinkable believing that I wanted a fresh install and deleted all my old previous files. I did keep a copy of the database, but it hasn't helped.

Well let me quit beating around the bush, basically I have installed all the files through SmartFtp and have my emptied old database.

All I get though is a 404 Error no matter what page I try.

Any ideas? I also tried to do your trick from the Yahoo fiasco by putting a / in the rnconfig but still no luck.

I hope somebody can assist.

Thanks in advance for any wizards time!!!!

So can you verify through FTP that the files are there? Your hosting might have a file manager that just lets you go to a webpage that lets you view all the files on your server. Have you gotten anything in the installation process yet?

Yes, I can see them by using Dreamweaver and by logging into my admin panel and viewing the Webshell.

I cannot see the installation process yet.

Looking for any help, thanks!

I presume you have just used Dreamweaver to upload the files?
If you cannot see the HowToInstall directory or 'INSTALLATION' directory on the server using your hosting providers control panel then the files have not been uploaded yet.
A 404 error typically means the file is restricted or isn't there, in your case I'm going to go with 'not found'.

I can see all the folders, if you go to my main domain, it says 404 Error - Not Found. But how can i see the favicon.ico in the address bar if there are no files?

Only other thing I can think of is permissions, but that would be a 403 error I think.

What do specifically do I need to give permissions to? If I type the ..../INSTALLATION/, All I get is a white page, so that should means it is reading something, correct?

Thanks!

Well to be honest I would have to question the motives of any hosting provider who puts revenue earning ads on my webspace but there ya go.
If you can see the files and folders are there but cannot access then via the browser then I would suspect it to be a hosting issue.
Even when I type in the name of a file fully, I still get adverts so I would contact your host and ask them why.
