Italic showing up in Posts

Hello,
I did a test post and it's showing italic as the font where do you change it so it's just regular style? Also why when I did a test post the time is off by 2 hours ( Sunday, May 23 @ 18:27:18 CDT ) CDT? where would i change that i messed around in the drop down area where it you can click on Post this story but it didnt work

Depending on your theme, it might be in a file called: story_home.html
