Looks like it is working now. I would guess that he put it below another block that was broken and it messed up the HTML for everything below it.

It looks like it is working to me. There are messages scrolling, but I can't test it myself because it is locked to guests.

It is working for me on both IE7 and Firefox. However I am looking at it just as a guest. Perhaps members are seeing another block that is breaking it. Try turning off blocks one by one until you can narrow it down to one block.

Maybe it is this problem described in install.txt for Shoutbox:

Cool JAVASCRIPT:
-It is a known fact that, if two or more javascript apps use window.onload=, that one or more will fail.
-I have provided an area within the shoutbox.js file at the top to resolve this.
-Open all your other blocks and modules that use window.onload= in KATE or wordpad and write down all the onload events. Watch CAPS!
-NOTE: window.onload=WorldClock will become WorldClock();
-Place a // in front of all those window.onload events, save, and reupload. This stops them from running.
-Example: // window.onload=WorldClock
-Open shoutbox.js
-At the top youll see:
function allonloads() {
populate();
