Is there anyway around this besides deleting some of the entries in my htaccess file so i can get my site images back.
I really don't want to delete the entries if i can avoid it because most of the IP addresses were from harvesters and script and union attacks.
It's been quite a while since I posted here, I hope you are all very well and ready to feast with your loved ones.
[EDIT] I found the problem. The culprit was guardians spam blocker Mod. I'm not sure why because you all know I'm no coder but as soon as I deleted the spam blocker tables/DB, All my images on my site came back.
Guardian this is what i did. I went into Cpanel/hotlink-blocking and saw the URL to your site in the redirect area so I erased it. Next thing I see is none of my site images are showing. So I deleted your spam mods tables and DB and all my images were back. Just an FYI.
Well until next time friendO's. be safe and have a happy turkey day |

I do not know why your cPanel had a redirect to my site, the Spam Blocker module is not capable of accessing your cPanel.
Do you have a back up copy of the tables you deleted so I can analyse them?
I can only think of two scenarios where images would get blocked;
1 if the images reside on an external domain and that domain has been 'spanked' by Spam Stopper
2 the image name contains part of a 'bad word' string
It seems this was a recent, sudden problem and you resolved it quickly so if it was Spam Blocker that was the culprit, you might have seen it in the color coded blocklist view as a recent entry but without seeing the tables it makes it impossible for me to give you a definitive explanation. |

@ Guardian2003: Sorry G, I was in a hurry and just wanted to get the images back up for my main domain and just dropped all of the tables.
I did see your URL in the "Redirect request to this URL:" box. I removed it and just redirected the hot linkers back to my home page. You should have been seeing a few redirects from fragjunkys.com in your logs. As soon as i dropped the tables all my images were back. When i get the chance, I'll try recreating this for you on my test server and I'll make sure to copy those tables. Hope everyone had a safe and happy thanksgiving.
P.S. How did your pies turn out this year Guardian ? |

Well i had thought that all was well... Until today i went into my root folder to check a few things and i found that the tech at hostmonster had totally erased my .htaccess file and added some things of his own. Needless to say this left my site wide open for 6 full days and that's all it took. Right now none of my Nuke sentinel links will work in my NS admin panel except for the administration link. i can click on almost all of them but they do nothing and database maintenance & HTTPauth menu are both white and cant even be clicked.
I went into phpmyadmin and there weren't any new entries for admins and then i upgraded my Nuke Sentinel to the latest version on bob's site and also updated my bbtonuke forums.
It's late and I'm too tired to try to trouble shoot this but if any of you have any ideas i would appreciated them very much. The only other thing i can think of is installing nuke sentinel full and hope that would fix the issue. |

If you do not keep a local backup of your files, does your host keep backups? If so, can't you just grab a copy of your old .htaccess file and start back from square 1? I would also question why your host didn't at least make a backup of your .htaccess file!?! |

Yes i have several htaccess file backup's and i did upload one of them but it didn't change the fact that I cannot access any of the links in the nuke sentinel admin panel. I'm pretty sure someone has done somthing I'm just not sure what it is. I would like to get this settled ASAP so this kiddie cant do any more harm. If I click on the "edit admins" link i get redirected to my abuse.html file. |

Use phpmyadmin and check your authors table and your sentinel admin and sentinel configuration table and make sure that no one has messed with those. Then, if I were you, I would reinstall NukeSentinel(tm). Also make sure that your .staccess file is intact and has read permissions set correctly. |
