tego nukemail not working

I have configured tego to run off smtp for my local email server. Should'nt this overide the php mail function? I have yes checked on activate mailer. So why do all my user registrations and newsletters still go through the php mail()?

How do you know everything is still going through php_mail?

when i try to send a newsletter i comeup with this error:

ERROR IN MODULE: HTML_Newsletter

ERROR MSG: PHP mail function failed - was unable to send newsletter to: l

i assumed when it says PHPmail function its talking about the default function for php. Maybe i shouldnt assume Shocked

also registration emails do not go through. I know my server works because i can send email with outlook through my server.

What about other functions such as new user registrations etc. Do these work and send the email?

Fixed the problem and i am very imbarased. Should remember to enable smtp authentication. Thanks for your help
