Well... never had authentication problem before with parachat Module though im using RavenNuke but after i upgrade to RavenNuke v2.30.1 i cant get it to work with user database Authentication in the site. I think the new RavenNuke 2.30.1 is using RNBYA which is a different module replacement for old "Your Account" module. If so, how do I get it to work? please help if you have any ideas about it.
This is strange becoz i never had issues integrating in phpnuke before. Only problem now is database/user authentication after using RavenNuke v2.30.1. Point is that RNBYA is newly introduced in RavenNuke. Thats only my guess though
If you can kindly throw some pointers it will be a great help. Forgive me if i post this in a wrong thread
The module for phpnuke is here: Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login!

I didn't test to see if this is all that needs done, but you need to edit line 18 of chatauth.php.
Line 18
Code:
@require_once( "includes/constants.php" );
|
Change to:
Code:
@require_once( "modules/Forums/includes/constants.php" );

luckson, do you have the paid service on your site? I wonder if this or flash chat would be a better solution. I'm not crazy for flash on a chat module. When I had this installed before there were a few hang ups, and if the connection was not the best, it was glitchy at best. Also, let us know if Palbin suggestion works...thanks in advance.

Haven't got time to fix this till now. My chatters are too busy that if i disable the chat room for an hour or two, they'll all be pissed. I'll try this one of ths days though.
Thanks Palbin for your time and support

You might need to be more specific because your last reply to this thread was almost a year ago?
Are you still using the same version of RN as noted earlier? Are you still using the same chat module? |
