Rough 3 weeks (and counting)

My father passed away 6/27, suddenly and quickly from what was determined to be a very aggressive form of lung cancer. Prior to this event I didn't realize I was such a cry-baby. He was not a believer. My mother is suffering with early stage Alzhiemers so we have been dealing with trying to find a place for her to go. I have to go back to work next week so she will be living with us until we do find such a place. She does not want to leave her current residence and thinks she can do fine by herself. We don't think so - she asked us a dozen times yesterday what day it was, forgets to take her meds, leaves pans on the stove and takes a nap, etc. Good news is my father was very thrifty so she has enough money to live in a very nice facility for the rest of her life (probably). We need prayer for patience, and wisdom in dealing with my mom's future. Thanks.

To top it all off when I got home from the memorial service my computer was fried. Typing this from an old laptop - still waiting for parts to fix desktop.

First of all you have our condolences regarding your father. Losing a loved one is hard enough even when you know they are saved. And we went through the same things with my mom. Even including the Alzhiemers! Once again, God shows his divine hand as He allowed me/us to go through the same things/issues with my mom, never realizing (during the time before she died) that He was preparing us for being near to you to comfort someone with like affliction. Praise His Holy Name! Not meaning to trivialize anything but you must be doing something right, through these trials. Otherwise satan wouldn't be working overtime on you Wink

Margie and I will certainly be praying with/for you and yours during this time of trial and ultimate growth in and through Him. We'll have to think about praying for patience, however. Seems like any time a believer asks for patience you end up with more assault from satan and his band of demons Wink
