i have a major problem with the forum. i keep getting a 500 internal server error on one computer and on my main computer i get a 404 error. i have gone over google and here on ravennuke and on phpnuke looking for answers but i can't find any. please forgive me since i am new here and do not know where to post this problem. from what i can tell my .htaccess file is the culprit. i have tried making a new .htaccess file leaving it completely blank and still get a 500 error. i am working with php5.4 and ravennuke 5.2.1 and phpmyadmin 3.5.8 which should be upgraded to 4.1.11 if someone can please look over my .htaccess logs and find out what needs to be corrected i would greatly appreciate it. Forgive me for i tried doing an attachment but it would not take. if this .htaccess can be modified and made even better i am willing to let anyone who wishes to use it may use it. (forgive me for putting my website link in the .htaccess but it was important)

your right I'm sorry i should have put that part in code tags. i got the top part from perishable press it was a link i found on ravens forum in the main index.php under .htaccess and i clicked on it and thats how i found the security for the .htaccess but i will take your advice and get rid of that part and see if it helps any.

i think i fixed it... it was the deny from list i had. once i removed that huge list i got the drop down menu for my user name and password prompt for the forum restricted area. now every time i try to log in it won't let me. i provide my correct username and password but for some reason i still can not log in. |

try placing it right after
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
and nesting any code that relies on mod_rewrite before the closing </IfModule>
on a side note most of those htaccess additions you got via perishable press do work, but I remember a few also broke or crashed things. takes some testing to make sure things are working ok, and what works on one server may not on another due to server configurations... |
