When we type into our shoutbox, then hit shout, it takes us off the forum page and onto the home page. How can we keep it on the forum page after we press shout?
I appreciate your help. |

By the sounds of you mean the phpbb shoutbox?
If there is a homepage field in the configuration, set it to your forum root.
Sorry if that doesn't work, I've never used that mod before. |

Are you using quiecom-shoutblock, if so it may be an old version. The problem you described is in one old version I had 2.3. You need to get version 2.4VF you can get it here http://www.quiecom.com/labs.php in this updated version after posting in the shoutblock it stays on the same page, not redirected back to your index page. |

I think from that we can gather that it's the forum shoutbox, and not the queicom one that is on the front page.
Stormy, I'm a bit confused, what shoutbox are you using? |

If you can tell it's not queicom shoutblock from that you should be a ditective...
I don't use the shoutblock, so I installed the one I thought stormy was most likely using. Entered my forum did a shout and WOW! it took me back to the frontpage. Producing the exact results mentioned in stormy's post. I then upgraded the queicom shoutblock to 2.4VF repeated the same action by going to the forum doing a shout and WOW! I stayed on the forum page. |
