I will be going into the hospital at 9am on the 6th of September for Seizure Montoring. I will get out of the hospital on Fri the 10th or Sat the 11th. This is a normal/routine thing but I hate being in hospitals and I am also a smoker who is hoping that this time in the hospital will give me the time to stop smoking.

I'l have 32 wires attached to my scalp (for those not familar) that connect to a computer and to an EEG (measures brain waves). The doctor has also expressed that he may have a CAT and/or MRI scan done since my father passed away from a brain tumor a little over two years ago.

I am not normally one to worry or be scared of these tests or time in the hospital since I know that God reigns supreme and will guide me thru this. At the same time I am human and the human feelings have started to overwhelm me so I ask that you pray that I have comfort for these coming days.

Thank You;

Heavenly Father, we ask for your divine intervention this week as Bob undergoes these tests and monitoring. We ask that you give the doctors special talents above their normal capacity as they monitor and read the results. We pray comfort and mercy on Bob and his family, especially to help relieve the anxiety. We pray, Father, if it be Your will, that there be no tumor. If there is we pray that it is an operable one and that the surgeon(s) will know precisely what to do and that it will be done perfectly. We commend Bob's care to Your hands this week. We ask all this in Jesus' name, Amen.

BobMarion,
Best wishes for a favorable outcome. And since I am a smoker myself, good luck with quitting. Spend all that money you'll save on a nice gift for yourself.

I know how you must feel Bob I'm waiting for an appointment myself for a throat examination where they put instruments and mirrors down my throat while I'm still awake, this terrifies me.

I always think at times like these that it helps to think that there are others going thru much worse things than I am, and somehow that makes me a little braver.

I hope you can find peace and comfort and not get too stressed over this, and I will be thinking of you in my prayers.

You'll be fine Bob, afterwards you'll wonder what you were worried about.

I hope the results are all favourable Bob.

I'm back home again. Got home about 14:00 (2:00pm for not use to 24 clocks) on the 10th. I want to thank you all for the prayers and well wishes. Without them I would have gone insane during the stay in the hospital.

Here's the prelim test results:
1) NO SIGNS OF TUMOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2) I still have seizures, no bigger on this Smile
3) They found the irregular heart beat I've had since birth.

All in all it was plain out boring just laying with those 27 wires attached to me. Slept most of the time which scared them a little Smile

I go to my neuroligist in a month after they have time to review all the video and EEG tape and may be put on new meds. They may also send me for a couple of stress tests for my heart but those are no bigger either, been there done that sort of thing Wink

I just have to say this again, THANK YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
