Hi I want to stop Anonymous posting, I have clicked off the option in preverences but for some reason they can still post?
any idea`s

Are we talking about anonymous posting comments to news or posting comments in the forums?

You need to set the permissions for that in the Forum Admin Control Panel. Look under Forum Admin Heading in the left navigation for the Permissions link. In that section you can set permissions for each forum, like who can view, post, edit etc. You will need to set the post and reply permissions to reg (registered) so that anonymous users cannot post
