Hello,

I am trieing to downgrade to 7.6 right now, and I would like to know if I need to install NukeSentinel, or is it good enought to have 7.6 with all patches installed ?

I know, it is a difficult question, but I do not realy understand all the options in Sentinel, I am not a hacker and therefore I do not realy know how to set the options to be more save ...

You absolutely need NukeSentinel(tm). Chat's patches basically modify the core code due to coding errors. NukeSentinel(tm) modifies/filters the environment that nuke runs in, if you will. In other words it catches commands that may be dangerous before they can get at the nuke code level. In a pictorial sense, it's somewhat like a software firewall.

Hi,

I am back down on 7.6 Smile

Sentinel installation was easy ! Great job !!

Now I am save, I didn't change any of the default values ...

Thanks to all the developers for this 'firewall' even I do not understand what it is doing ... Smile

It protects your site from such things as UNION attacks and much more, but things that would allow a person to wreck your site.
