Site showing blank index page??

Hello got up today to find one of my websites on a sub domain just appears as a blank page???? I have tried ftp but dont have access to edit the files and checking the the security settings for the files they dont seem to have any permissions?
Any idea`s cheers

Check your logs. That's usually due to a parsing error.

I have had a similar issue. But mine seems intermittent. I am not sure if it just me or what. I can see everything through the admin menu. but when the index is used it is blank. when I looked through FTP everything appears to be in order.

OK, I had to do something in the mean time so I now have an HTML page for my index so I renamed my index to index2.php. Same results, I took out mainfile.php to see if I got a response, I did, it told me that it was missing, when I put it back I got a blank page. I have uninstalled the last couple of Modules including Gallery2 (I moved it out of my public html) and still no improvement.
