Need Help With PHP-Nuke 7.8

This is my 1st post here !

I have a website of my own. i am using phpnuke 7.8.

I have some problems !

Hope u can help me solve them out !

1. Automatically Send A Private Message to every new registered user. (Like this very site has)

2. I have website on 1 server but i host downloads section files on some other server.
So, is there any way/script that would allow users to upload files to my other server and add it to the downloads section ??

3. The Hide Links For Unregistered Users works well except for 1 thing. The "Get Registered Here" URL takes the user to Forum Registeration Instead of Nuke Registeration ! Please tell me how to modify it !

Any help would be really appreciated !

There are a million and one file upload scripts so I think Google would be your friend there.
What other sites have you visited in your quest for the others?
Did google find nothing?

i searched google. there r scripts which work for file uploads on the same server as that of the site.

but i need that users r able to upload files to my other server and it is automatically added to the downloads section !

Also, plz clarify my other queries !

Allowing files to be uploaded on one sever to be saved on another is not a very good idea and I am not aware of any scripts that allow that because of the security issues.

I have seen the other hacks you mentioned but cannot remember were so someone else with have to help you with that.
As for modifying the files, (a question you added to your original post) if you could post a link to where you got the original files Imight be able to take a look at them.

I got the code to hide links from Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login!

Btw, please if u hv some idea how to upload files to the other server and automatically add them to the downloads section, please tell me !!!

There are a few ways to send a PM on request. There is a phpBB mod that was ported to Nuke that does this. I believe there are a couple of membership addons (CNB?) that support this, too.

No one can help you make a good choice - you have to do that for yourself since it's your website.

You can search for "Send PM" on user registration or "Welcome PM" (you can find one Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! )or you can try Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login!, but it hasn't been tested with 7.8, which BTW has security problems that cannot be protected.

But it also has 1 problem.... everything works well but it doesnt show the PM as unread/New, instead it is marked Read !

Plz give me some help on this !!

According to me, this is the part of script which redirects to WRONG REGISTERATION PAGE.

Code:

If u cud Pleaseeeeeeee correct this script and direct it to the Php-Nuke registeration page, i wud b thnkful to u !!

actually, this link is different than the regular urls......so i cudnt work it out !!!

wow, you sure are asking for a lot with an unappreciative tone. I think you want someone to hand you all the answers you want without having to do anything for yourself. That is the way that you come across to me. I suggest you do as he instructed you. Simply do some searching, read the install files(several times if needed), and try to learn for yourself. There is a great deal of information to help you here and elsewhere but no one is going to "spoon feed" you the answers to all of lifes issues. I think you should consider a kinder tone as well with people as I don't think you will get much help if you don't. Good Luck to you.

the point is that i have been waiting for a reply for more than a week !!!!

so i thought of giving the part of script which had my problem..... that wud b easy for others n for me also !!! i just wanted to change the link from Forum Registeration to PhpNuke registeration.... i tried to change it but it didnt work !!! so thats y i asked for u ppls help !

another question..... not a problem but general question,

I tried adding 2 images to my signature... it said u cud add only 1 image.....
then i added 1 image, it said u can add images only 88 X 88 pixels !!

i wud like to know how u do that !!!

No disrespect intended but I think we need to make sure your other issues are resolved first, then you can start a new thread for this one.
Having on issue/question per thread makes it easier to follow and helps others that use the search facility.
