I'm not exactly sure what you mean by multi-column scrolling block? If I had 3 columns and I wanted to scroll them all, then I would just make 1 string out of the three columns as in
$singleColumn ...

I don't think I ever completed that functionality. In addition to the language files, you would also need to modify these settings in config.php$col1 = "msgid";
