How to Install PHP 5, Apache 2 and SQLite on Windows
PHP

How to Install PHP 5, Apache 2 and SQLite on Windows is a tutorial that will guide you, literally, step by step with screenshots. Edward Tanguay does a most excellent job of detailing the process for those that have been wanting to try but didn't want to rush into the land where angels fear to tread. Definitely a must read.

For one-click (or close to it) installation of WAMP bundles, here are some to consider:

XAMPP is an easy to install Apache distribution containing MySQL, PHP and Perl. XAMPP is really very easy to install and to use - just download, extract and start.
...
The distribution for Windows 98, NT, 2000 and XP. This version contains: Apache, MySQL, PHP + PEAR, Perl, mod_php, mod_perl, mod_ssl, OpenSSL, phpMyAdmin, Webalizer, Mercury Mail Transport System for Win32 and NetWare Systems v3.32, JpGraph, FileZilla FTP Server, mcrypt, Turck MMCache, SQLite, and WEB-DAV + mod_auth_mysql.

TSW [The Saint WAMP] is a modular*) WA2MP-server. This means all components (except Microsoft Windows(tm)!) are bundled within one file and can be installed by starting the setup routine. TSW unlike normal WAMP installation kits is extended with some useful features. In addition to all components mentioned above (Apache2, MySQL, PHP, Perl, Python), a full-featured FTP-Server is also bundled as well as a mailserver.

I've personally used XAMPP for local development. Together with TortoiseCVS [www.tortoisecvs.org], I can try out and experiment with the latest code -- all without having to upload anything to the live/production servers.
