Nuke Community?

Why support a PHP Nuke community when there is no site where a designer can go to voice a grievance. I am a Nuker and have been for quite a while. I just happen to like Raven Nuke 7.6 and my site runs that version.

I am also a theme designer, in my spare time. My themes are being displayed in an inappropriate manner without my permission at a site I have heard all to much about. http://www.all-themes.com

I read somewhere that one designer had his site banned for asking the owner of www.all-themes.com to remove his work.

I did the same and was banned too. And my e-mails go unanswered. Why then go to the trouble of even attempting to create a community when the members do not support each other and allow sites such as www.all-themes.com to continue to thrive and grow while using the hard work of other people to profit.

Thank you for your time.

Unless you were correctly releasing your theme package, or they violated the GPL is some way, they can release your theme as long as they follow the GPL license.

To be blunt, up to the last few months or so I have not seen any theme makers correctly releasing their them packages. I cannot say if this is true to for you or not since I do not know you or your work.

I also know nothing of all-themes beyond the fact they use our distro. But judging from what is stated on their site, they are not violating the GPL license.

So unless I am wrong, there is nothing you can do, except change your theme packages in the future to met the license correctly.

I wish I had been more specific in my original post. I am well versed in the intent of the GPL and should have worded my comments differently.

My worry isn't about the GPL being followed or not it is in the way my themes are being displayed. You need only visit the avatar gallery to see the pornographic images there. A child 14 years of age can become a member there, go to the avatar gallery and pick a pornographic image for themselves which any visitor to the forums will then see.

That is the inappropriate way in which my themes are being displayed and I have objected to this at all-themes and been banned because I object to porn on the internet.
