NukeSentinel is great, and I recently upgraded to 2500 but after that some users began to send me email about getting banned by Sentinel for just visiting the site! Shocked

One of my admins can not visit the site because he is banned. I gave another member a link to a topic in my site when I was on the sombody elses forums and when he clicked on the link got banned, this is the message he got:

The same message shows to one of my admins who is blocked in my site.

When I just search for these ip's in the Sentinel I get nothing on them.

What is wrong?

Code:
Date Blocked: __TIMEDATE__

Block expires: __DATEEXPIRES__
seems to indicate missing language files.
Regarding the bans - have you imported all the IP2C data?

Not all of them but about 20 sql files that I downloaded at nukescripts.

Why? does the IP2C anything to do with this?

kamaleon, you can get these sql files from here:

http://www.nukescripts.net/modules.php?name=Downloads&op=getit&lid=1157

and import them to your db using phpmyadmin.

The data files are held inside the 'import' folder. Upload that to your root then go to Sentinel admin
in the seond column of menu options select 'Import Data'
When the screen refrshes, from the right hand column select the lower of the two options 'Import to IP2Country'
import all countries one at a time (doesnt take long).

izone, all I can see right now in the code is that if the abuse template isn't valued, it could produce this result. However, I am unclear as to when this could occur (I need more time to walk through the code). Have you uploaded ALL of the files in the *abuse* folder?

Several people are looking into issues with 2.5 and unknown bans occuring without attacks when the IP2country data isn't loaded. There are at least 3 different threads that might be related, so it's a little difficult to keep track of them all.

IZONE - can you confirm whether you have imported all the IP2C data through the Sentinel admin panel?
I just need clarification as this has resolved everyone elses issues so far and if this has not worked for you it needs to be investigated further and the developers made aware.

Guardian2003, I acctually did it by downloading sql files from nukescripts and imported them in my phpmyadmin, but only for a few countries.

But to give you a sure answer, I will remove them today and do it by using Sentinel menu and import all countries. Then I'll let you now if this problem is solved or not.

Thanks for your great help.
