Help please! - site down

I need some help.

I was adding an ip to the Sentinel list of blocked ips. I made a mistake and wrote a dot after the first number, when i shouldn't because it's added automatically. So, the ip was registered as XXX..XXX.XXX.XXX

Imediatly after I did this and pressed the ok button, the site went down. The message i get is

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I went to the phpMyAdmin and deleted the ip, hoping that it would fix itself, but it didn't.

Can anyone help me bring the site up?

Answering my own question:

I removed the ip from the database but forgot the .htaccess file. Now the line where the ip showed is removed and the site is working again.
