Search Module questions

Ok I noticed that the default search module only searches the news and articles. but omits the forums.

What I need is a search that by default searches the forums as well.

I guess that is similar to what is on this site.
Allthough I would rather it just search this site and not give the user the option of searching the entire web.

can someone shed some light on this for me

This site just uses the Google search box, you can get the code from Google

im not sure if this searches forums or what the value to do that is.

um i use a multiheadlines module at aikons.net and he has a search box for his forums. You could ask him.

You can also use the mSearch module. The author's site has disappeared, but the download and support are available on nukeSEO.com.
