Captcha Security Code is gone

I have two installs on my host with ravens 2.10.00 - last night I updated one two the 2.10.01 and the security code for new members went missing.
Seems like most of the other codes are working except those from the rnconfig file - like downloads, files and such.

I get it that its supposed to be this link and on other sites I get the code but at this I only get a error and new users only see a broken image:

What could cause this?

If you are logged in as Admin, you will not see the captchas that are configured in rnconfig.php.

Ah cool - thats solved then
But still have the new members problem

Ah, sorry about that. Open mainfile.php, config.php and rnconfig.php with a good text editor (NOT Notepad or Wordpad) and see if there is a blank line after the closing ?> line. Remove that extra line if there is one.

done that with dreamweaver already, no success. Also checked a whole lot of other files within root, theme and your account folders..

Dreamweaver itself may add the blank lines. Try using something like Crimson Editor

I used that editor and found one empty line at the end of config.php
removed that and all worked just fine Smile

Actually I had checked that before I came here with dreamweaver so didnt think it was a problem before I saw evanders post. Had that problem before and used dreamweaver to fix it - but this time it didnt work..

Sadly I have to use Dreamweaver for something things. It has a nasty habit of adding blank lines between the code Wink
