i have just installed ravennuke 2.10.01 on my home pc primarily to learn how to put a database, web server and cms system together, and so far i have been very impressed, it won't be connected to the web all the time but i am a bit worried about the fact that i cannot seem to activate the nukesentinel feature because i am using the abyss web server, which works great by the way, i appriciate that this is the way raven was designed and i do not expect it to work as such but i have two questions,

one, am i secure on the internet if i can't activate nukesentinel correctly?
two, is it possible to manually write the info to .htaccess and staccess so that it would work?
i have been very impressed with raven, easy installation due in part to good documentation etc, and i am enjoying learning how to get the most out of this program.

TIA, dave.

I'm not familiar with abyss webserver but if it is a Windows server, htaccess will not work as windows doesn't support it.

I've no experience with that server either. I think most people run Apache.

Anyway, Sentinel will still work by protecting you from bad queries and such, it just won't be able to leverage Apache's .htaccess facility.
