Want to use the FAQ section to post points standings for the race orginization. Here is the link

http://www.racingkart.tv/Allstars/modules.php?name=FAQ&myfaq=yes&id_cat=5&categories=Unlimited+All-Stars+Points#5

I am cut and pasting the format from Microsoft word. Everything looks good on the admin page but when I post it you only see the top 10 (there is a total of 56 racers in the list right now.

Why is it doing this and is there a way to fix the issue???

I am trying to get a Nuke League plug in for racing but in the mean time I have to do everything manualy and it would be so much easire if I could get it all on 1 page.

Are you using the advanced editor? If so, are you using the "Paste from Word" feature on the toolbar?

Weird. Have you considered the Content module instead?

already using the content modual for the racer bio section on the site.

I considered doing 2 of the same moduual in the past but did not know much about how to do this and was lost on the explaination.

I know a little more now so maybe I can fumble thru it this time lol.

If I go with a second content modual I would have to rename it (the file name) and then I would have to change several lines in the content modual right???

Then I would have to create a second content sql right? How do I do this????

wrecit, we learn by doing. Wink I would get yourself XAMPP, if you have not already, so that you can have a fully functional PHP/MySQL based set of tools on your local PC to play with to your heart's content...

Some things that I could think of that would have to change:

1. Copy existing Content directory to a new one, lets just call it Content2 for purposes of this discussion
2. In the admin directory, have to change links.php and case.php for all "op=<something>" to something that is unique to this module.
3. In admin directory, have to change the index.php and look for the "op=<something>" and change them to what you set them to in 2.
4. It looks like panel.php within the admin directory also has a hard-coded module name being assigned to a variable - that has to change to "Content2".
5. Do the same as 3. but for the index.php within the module directory (just up from admin).

That should get you really close.

Why would you even need to copy the module and make another one? Just make another content page for your point standings and add a link to it in a menu block or something.

It doesn't explain why the FAQ module is behaving that way. But I would think content is better suited to the task you have.

Going back a few posts, my experience has been that paste from Word causes all sorts of problems. If you ever look at the source that results you will see many unnecessary and problematic codes being "injected" by Word and the paste process. Try paste as plain text and you might get better results. I can't say that it will solve the problems alluded to here but it might.

On my production site I went as far as to disable the paste from word feature (you can find documentation on how to do this on the fckeditor site). All pasting is done as plain text.
