I installed ravennuke on a subfolder name raven. It work fine when i point at www.mysite.com/raven. I installed that on a subfolder coz i have still runnin my main site on the root folder. I didnt wanna delete it coz i might need some scripts from that main site and it is a mess i have few things i wanna back it up and use it in ravennuke. So anyways after everything was done in mysite.com/raven i wanted to redirect my main url which is mysite.com to my www.mysite.com/raven. So i went to cpannel and went to domain and changed it to this Rolling Eyes

Now when i type mysite.com it automatically take me to my subfolder but when i try to register or go to forums it gives me this error>>Error 404: NOT FOUND!
Your browser cannot find the document corresponding to the URL you typed in.
which mean for some reason it doesn't read the shortlinks. So i am just wondering is there way to fix it or do i have to reinstall ravennuke on ma root directory as a fresh copy or move ma ravennuke to the rootfolder

If you change that home directory, you wouldn't be able to run any scripts that you saved on the root. If that is the case, then just move the root files off and put the raven files in the root.

Or keep things the same, use a simple index.html page to redirect users to mysite.com/raven

i dont wanna run any scripts that have on root directory but i wanna keep em(old site) and wanna have a separate folder for ravennuke coz in the future i am plannin to run another nuke site on the same directory. Like 2 different nuke site mysite.com/raven and mysite.com/raven2 since i already have a mysite.comCshort URL) i just wanna redirect that url to subfolder i am using right now and in the future i will buy another url and redirect that to the raven2 folder.

by the way thanks for the reply and help

Don't make it hard work. Back up all your files and database (schema and data) and just wipe it clean and install RN in your root.

You can easily move files around the server without deleting them. Thus move all the root files into a folder. And move all the raven files into root. Problem solved .. you are really making it too complicated Smile

If you buy another domain name, you can set a different home directory as necessary

My guess is that you have a problem with your Anonymous user somewhere. Check your error logs and see if you get any error messages from your forums
