I recall seeing an addon a long time ago where a member could click a link called "Discuss this article in the forum", or something like that. Anyway, once the member clicked on the link, they were taken to the forum and the subject line was filled in with the article title.
Am I losing my marbles or was there ever something like that for PHPNuke? |

'article' refers to nukes news module so what you may have seen was Forum News Advanced.
I have never used it myself but from what forums posts I have read, it can be a challenging install.
The only reason I have never used it is because I think maintenance for upgrades etc would be a nightmare. |

Any idea where I can find it?
The only one I found was at Nuke Clans and some sort of a points system is required to download it. |

Forum News Advanced as you'll see when you download it requires changes to a lot of files. Every time you do a *nuke update or forum update you would need to reconcile those differences with your changed files which is going to quickly become a right P.I.T.A |

WOW! I'm looking at the changes that are required and it's rather lengthy.
Now I see what you mean by maintaining it. |

That's one of the reasons we have resisted making forum mods to RavenNuke, except for those that a majority of webmasters want. Many forum mods also require theme changes. The bottom line is that it's a tough call. |

I guess I'll set up a mock site and test it first. |

Because I made the modifications, installed it without errors (a first) and it's in the admin panel and I set it up from the their.
I just know what it's supposed to do. LOL! |

I'm so confused...or maybe not! LOL!
Seriously, I'm glad it worked - especially without errors on the first try. |

FNA lets you discuss articles in the Forums because the article IS in the forum. But I haven't really used it so I can't tell you more than that. Maybe others have and can explain better. |

Ok.
I think I spoke too soon. When I click on the modules link it displays a blank page.
Incidentally, what does this mean. It's when I do a test post in the forum:
Invalid Session. Please resubmit the form. |
