Hi all, I installed the new 2.4 on one of my sites the other day and all went pretty good Very Happy
I decided to upgrade my other site today and it didnt go very well Crying or Very sad
I basically clicked on the upgrade in the browser and got this...

Warning: fopen(/public_html/rnlogs/dblog) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in ( /public_html/db/mysql.php on line 124

Warning: fwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /public_html/db/mysql.php on line 128

Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /public_html/db/mysql.php on line 129

The site still seems to work which is a relief but I am not sure what these errors are???

thanks for any help all
mrix

It just couldn't write out to the dblog file. Make the following file write-able (i.e., may need 666):

rnlogs/dblog

After that, click a few pages on your site and then look in the file to see what errors it was attempting to write (may have only been at upgrade time...)

Hi there do you think the upgrade probably went ok apart from this glitch? or will I have to get the permissions correct and try again?
Thanks

If you didn't have any errors from the upgrade posted to the screen(page) when you did the upgrade (which we highly encourage folks to review that output carefully in our instructions), then I think you should be fine.
