The amount for work required to bring an older version of nuke up to php 5.4 would be a major project that would require many part time developers. Even if you could get it to work on 5.4, when later versions of php come out, you would need more modifications. In php 5.5, mysql extension is deprecated and support for it will be removed in later versions of php which will require mysqli or PDO. Your best option would be to upgrade to RavenNuke or find a host that will allow you to run an older version of PHP. |

Geegee3, I saw some old threads here and/or on other related websites where issues with a fork with the name nipnuke was posted. If I'm right it should be a very old modified phpnuke 7.3 or 7.6 and since I saw these threads I searched this fork without to find any information. Anyway. Try an upgrade to RavenNuke on a local environment and then post here in these forums the error-messages which you get. Its easier to port your old modules, blocks, themes to RN instead to port a totally outdated codebase to a current PHP version. |

I believe its the header of the 2 version that make 1 better on search engines then another, the many StyleSheets and javascripts in RavenNUKE I believe is the difference
example look at this code
header code for nipnuke

At first I typed a long answer and at the end of my last word I deleted all and tried it again shorter. But then I deleted all again. Something has me confused and I'm not sure where I should start to sort it because the topic was started with a server-side issue and now we are lost between the document's head and body of the client-side. Its like a ride to nowhere.
But a small light is shining so bright - you are wrong.
Good luck! |

it became a comparison between 2 different nuke versions .. the version I have this NIP NKE for sure is found faster and better then wordpress , drupal, and any other CMS system for some reason maybe because of the header that raven nukes version uses.. what Im requesting and will to pay Big buckarinos for is someone to edit my version of nuke I have to run on php 5.4 |

Ridiculous! If you really have used the both compared examples for the same page then you should noticed that both headers have different titles, meta description and meta keywords. No wonder, why you can't find the 2nd example.
If you are really working with an so outdated system, I hope you know how many security issues are inside these old codelines. But you as a 'pro web developer' should know how to fix it and then it should be easy for your port your old code to php 5.4, which will be replaced in the next months with a newer version. |
