Well somehow I have managed to lock myself out with my admin account on 1.7 When I try to access admin.php I get the PENDING ADMIN ACCESS screen. I tried to access asec in my nuke root and I get an Access Denied You do not have authorization to view this file.

What else can I do at this point?

Nevermind...found my stupidity after all. Was using wrong dbconfig and dbtable in config.php DOH!
