I don't think so. I'm tired of seeing government run businesses that the average Joe is not allowed to do. I thought we have a free enterprise system here. If it's legal to sell or do, then you should be able to make a buck off it if you want and it shouldn't depend on what state your in. I always thought this was one nation, but more and more it’s 50 little nations paying rent to one big landlord. I love my country, and enjoy living here. But sometimes I get mad when I know someone else is doing something I want to do legally and it’s illegal for me to do in the state I’m in.

Here in Utah, all the liquor stores are state owned. So if someone from New York wants to move his business here, he can’t. That just doesn’t seem right. The city I live in just banned Haunted Houses, and I’m sure you can guess I took that a little personal. They are running their own Haunted Houses events, but no one else is allowed to. Something is wrong with that picture!

I think we need a whole lot less government interference in our lives. Government should not be allowed to run businesses. They have a purpose, to control the rules and regulations that society lives by. That’s it. Not to dictate to us our moral values. Not to raise our children for us. Not to compete in the business world; especially since they are not very good at business!! If real business ran like the government in financials there would be businesses in this country.

Voted No. Of course I do think that some regulation is needed in some industries. (Got some toxic waste, bring it on over and I'll stick it in the shed)

A city run Haunted House? That's just sick.

Here in Oklahoma we have some pretty strange liquor laws, Can't sell it on Sundays except by the drink. So if you want wine on Sunday you can't buy a bottle and go home to drink it you have to go out to a bar or restaurant then drive home. Can't sell any thing but liquor in a liquor store, no mixers, no cigarettes, can not sell anything cold, has to be at room temperature. Of course 3.2 beer is not counted you can buy that cold, just not at a liquor store.
