This is an editor worthy of notice. It's still a beta, but it outshines many others.

Just curious - what features do you like?

It's nothing in particular but it's the overall features. Normally you do not get this type of editor and features w/o using an IDE. I have not had time to play with it enough to comment, but I will Wink

Two different animals. Textpad, as I had said, I've always used it and is good. This one looks and feels more like an IDE but it isn't bogged down like an IDE. I'm just starting to use it and I thought I'd mention it because you get so much more for the money Wink

Crimson Editor is a nice editor with syntax highlighting. I like it better then editpad lite as a notepad replacement.

As a notepad replacement, I've been using PSPad for quite some time and am very pleased with it!

I have used Crimson Editor for over a year and it has proved very useful for single file edits.
I will check out these others though.

After a recent hard drive format (thanks to all those that helped stuff up WIN XP SP2) I made a list of 'must have' progs that I use all the time. Suprisingly, the list was quite short but one of the newcomers is worthy of mention because I couldnt do without it - Beyond Compare 2. This is the first piece of kit I have found that is intuitive and provides comparisons at folder and sub-folder levels - truly awesome.
