Hi,

Can you folks offer me some suggestions on the best WYSIWYG Submit News editor?

Thanks!
Darrell

Yup, the SPAW editor works really well and saves me a bit of a headache by having its own image upload facility which is s really nice touch.
You can grab it from here http://www.kodetech.com/
Oops appears they have been doing maintenance for a week or so but there is a link on that page to take you the temporary download area.
It also works on reviews, comments and FancyNewsletter module too.

Thanks,

That looks great. Are there any security issues with the upload feature that your aware of?

I have it installed in an admin area to test it...

I have not seen any security notices posted regarding that facility but you should be aware that the image upload facility is only available to the God admin as far as I can tell.
But then if someone managed to get your God admin log-in, the site would be pretty useless in any event if they had any malicious intent.

If you use Firefox or Mozilla, you might want to look at the Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! which "Adds BBCode/HTML/XHTML formating to the context menu". The extension is not specifically just for php-nuke sites, but I haven't found any WYSIWYG editors that work well in Firefox/Mozilla.

There are notes in the docs that say it's only 100% for IE....
