user activation email not send

Hey admin sorry i post my msg in the worng place so i am also posting it over here and can any one help i need to fix that as soon as possible.

Hi all i would just ask u guys that i have installed my phpnuke almost a year now and when i go to my site the register user does not increase so today i tried to register with my other email and i see that i dont get the email to activate it so i tried to look all over here but couldnt find it and i also like to tell u that my pop mail is working as i send a feedback to try to use Recommend Us it also work the email goes to my inbox but the your account doesnt now send the activation email so does anyone know what is the problem and i am useing phpnuke 6.9

Make sure that within your Forums settings that you have enabled it using SMTP mail and give it a working username and password for it to use. Chances are your host has applied a security fix on the box that you are on and it's now blocking emails sent from scripts.

ok drimke i enabled my smtp setting also but there is no email still so is there any other way to fix this problem??

Thanks DRMike! It fixed my problem.

Seems like you were right and something had stopped the local mail function so switching to smtp had the desired effect.

Albaloushi - have you installed any forum mods?

but i also sloved my problem by restalling the Your Account module only again as it worked not i think there was some file encrupt while uploading, so if there is anyother problem like that then people try to reinstall the Your Account only in module only. nope i didnt install any forum mods.

when i do this (running under phpnuke 7.6) it gives me a call to undefined function smtpmail???

Plz help
