Hi folks

I'm looking for feedback from those that may be hosting boxes using single or combinations of accelerators.

I'm especially curious if anyone is using the ionCube PHP Accelerator (see: http://www.php-accelerator.co.uk/ ) and if so how well it is running and what the performance is in comparison to other solutions.

Generally, I'd like to hear about whatever your running and if there have been any adverse reactions (or benefits) to Nuke or other CMS operations with your particular configuration. Also if you are running with output_buffering on or off and if on, what size you've setup and what the impact has been. While generally speaking output_buffering is only supposed to slightly degrade PHP performance, it has recently come to my attention that this isn't always the case. I'm hoping that buffer size may be part of this problem, but I'd like to hear more anyway....

Again, the primary focus of this inquiry is different accelerators and what everyone feels about them.

Thanks
Steph

A while back I tested Zend vs. PHPA (Ioncube) and found PHPA to be better all around. I don't know if that's still the case as I run Zend on my servers due to the fact that I have some software that requires it.

Have you tried running them together?

I don't believe you can do that.
