Hi all,

the other day i wanted to change the name of the god admin in my phpnuke site from within phpnuke with the normal procedure (edit admin).
Well sentinel banned me immediatelly cause i have the author_blocker and admin_blocker running (one of these two must have stopped me i think).
Well ,i think it is normal up to here.Sentinel is just doing the work.

But the next day when i tried to login with my site i got the usual http Auth (by sentinel) and next the phpnuke authorisation for admin rights.
Surpise!! While i was blocked the previous day from changing my god name in fact the name was changed.

The reason asking this is that i would expect since sentinel blocked me from changing admin name the name did changed. Is this normal as expected?

Also my ip wasnt saved in .htaccess file but i will have a look around why is that since maybe this is probably my mistake.Maybe .httpaccess file has not the right permissions or ...i will have a look around anyway to see why but please give me your opnion about this too.

Thx...

Unfortunatelly .htaccess is already with 666 permisions and path is correctly set in the sentinel administration menu. Also both admin and blockers are ordered to right the banned ip in the .htaccess Sad

I know that maybe hard for someone to understand without being in front of the pc why is that but i would be glad to see your best guesses...

Thx...

When you were logged in was your admin account a "Protected" account? I'll lay odds it was because it didn't write your ip to the db or the htaccess file but gave you the "Normal" blocked page.
