I used the 76patched (which I thought had all the updates to 3.1) but now that I'm installing Sentinel I have found a lot of differences between the 76patched files and the full "PHP-Nuke-7.6-patchedv3.1" files. The index files are different and mainfile, etc. Did I screw up by installing just 76patched? I don't want to install "PHP-Nuke-7.6-patchedv3.1" because I will lose a lot of work (language files, etc). What should I do now? |

Chatserv only releases the patched files, not full released with patches. If you downloaded the v7.6pl3.1 from this site, for example, you will have the virgin 7.6 phpnuke from phpnuke.org with Chat's v3.1 patches installed. However, Chat may have added new patches since that time. So, if you just want to update your current code with the patches, you need to get the patches from his site and apply them yourself. |

I got 76patched from nukeresources.com and applied them myself. I'm just wondering why that download is so different from the actual fully patched download "PHP-Nuke-7.6-patchedv3.1" ... someone should look into that. So, where is the very latest patched update for 76 version 3.1? |

I can't speak for what you find on other sites. Chat's patches only are available on my home page towards the top. |

I just did a file comparison just between the mainfile of the "76patched" and full "PHP-Nuke-7.6-patchedv3.1" downloads and there are HUGE differences. Was one updated and not the other? Which one should I use? When I had to search for code while installing Sentinel, I could only find it when I searched through the mainfile of the "PHP-Nuke-7.6-patchedv3.1" download, not the patched series. Does that mean that the "76patched" download is old? |

Chat, and/or his 'team', have been issuing several changes to 3.1 and I do not agree with all of them necessarily (no reflection on Chat). As a result I have left the patched series here at a point that I know it was working. So yes, it is old in that regard. |

ok, so should I be worried about all the differences between the files? my site seems to be working fine by patching it together with code from each needed to run Sentinel... it does worry me though that I have a Frankenstein webpage. I just hope it doesn't get hosed by using files from different sources. Thanks for the heads up though Raven. |
