Hi everyone,

This has me going crazy, so any help would be appreciated.

I have changed my website theme so that all text is white on dark block and module backgrounds.

When I click the forums module, /modules.php?name=Members_List , the text IN the dropdown boxes, called 'select sort method' and 'order' is still black.

Please can some one tell me where I should be to change this to white.

I need to do this because I have used dark backrounds for the cells in the phpBB forums and so I cannot see the text in the dropdown boxes.

The actual description words for the dropdown boxes are OK, but this is because the text color is disctated by the theme.php file in the themes directory.

It might be in your themes/<<your theme>>/forums/forums.css.

It might these lines:

/* The text input fields background colour */
input.post, textarea.post, select {
background-color : #FFFFFF;
}

montego,

Thanks for that, but it didnt work.

Firstly, the dropdown boxes appear to be getting their current backround color from the 'Table Cell Colour 2:' option in the phpBB admin settings.

The code you just highlighted isnt the problem...I mean whatever it is set to, the 'Table Cell Colour 2:' color seems to be overriding it.

It was set by default to white (ie FFFFFF), but as I say, the background has changed from white when I selected a different color for the 'Table Cell Colour 2:' option.

Any other ideas?

In addition to my last posts I have worked out what is causing the problem I have here.

The problem is caused because the PHPBB Theme field called 'Table Cell Colour 2' changes the color of the area you type text in a private message as well as the color of the table at the top that contains the links 'Forum FAQ Search Usergroups Profile & Log out'.

I want the table that contains the links 'Forum FAQ Search Usergroups Profile & Log out' to have a dark background and have changed the text color to white.

however as I explained above, the background color setting for the 'Forum FAQ Search Usergroups Profile & Log out' box also controls the background color for the box/area where you type text in a new private message. Ultimately I want to change the color of the text typed in the new private message to white, so I can leave the dark backround there.

This backround color/PHPBB 'Table Cell Colour 2' setting, is also linked to the bacground color of some of the drop down box selections and because the text in these is black, these are alse difficult to read with the dark background. Again I want this text to be white.

Pleeeeeease...does anyone know where to make the changes?
