I have contact with router but not with internet.
The funny thing is that at my job I use wireless connection and it works fine.

djmaze, I've tried that too.
The thing is that I have 2 computers connected. A pc and a lapptop. With my pc I can geting connect. But at same time not with my lapptop!!!
And without doing anything I can get connected at my job (direct connection) with my lapptop!
Isn't it strange? |

well there are a few other step....
first reset your router...
make sure it grabs whatever ip you get from your isp.
also check if it gets automatically your dns setting.
in the netherlands we had a same problem long ago.
so try to get your isp dns server, theat usualy 2 ip's.
put them inside internet options...
dont forget to reboot all the time during changes. |

No it isn't, there's a difference between finding a network and having access to it.
Most wifi's have many settings how to allow/deny wireless access. Either by fixed MAC, WEP, login or anything else the creators came up with.
If you didn't properly secure your wifi network some guy in his car or just your neighbour might have fun tracing all your data traffic and setting up your router.
Many people buy a wifi but few read the advisories that are given in the documentation. If the docs don't mention it then go back to the store and replace your $40 router for one that costs atleast the triple of that ammount. |

Is your router giving your laptop a proper IP? It is probably set to DHCP, so it should be automatically providing one. Check that there's a proper gateway and DNS |

djmaze, thanks, but I've done this. By finding network I ment I have access to it both from my pc and laptop.
evaders99, thanks to you too.
And yes I THINK I have got a proper IP. When I check it with "ipconfig /all" in DOS I can see that I have got an IP. DHCP is on.
It seems that my laptop is connecting throw another setting and luck itself in an invalid IP. Is there any way to check it out? |

Disable and Enable your wireless connection on your laptop. Re-connect and try again. |
