I renamed the admin.php file and made the chnages in the config file on RWS 2.02.02 and after installing CNBYA 4.42 I get an access denied error even after editing mainfile.php as instructed.

After renaming the admin file back to admin.php and making the changes in the config.php file the error goes away and CNBYA works perfect.

Any ideas of which changes have to be done to get CNBYA working with renamed admin.php files.

Thanks in advance.

Are you using admin authentication with NukeSentinel? If so, that provide sufficient protection for your admin.php file.

Yes I am, however I have other scripts like a support tiket system in my site which also have an admin.php file and, even though they are on separate directories, when I try to access them the authentication screen pops up.

This wouldn't be an issue if I was the only one accesing the other scripts but there are other users that need to access them but I don't want them to have access to the phpnuke admin section.

I tried creating separate hashes in the .staccess file but it didn't authenticate, perhaps the hashes weren't created correctly.

The solution I had was to rename the phpnuke admin.php file but came up with this issue.

Did you try turning off admin authentication, then turning it back on after renaming admin.php? I've haven't tried this, so I can't say for sure whether that will work.

I'm not sure if my local copy is the latest version but you might want to check the CBNYA files for references to admin.php as they will (if they exist) need to be changed to $admin_file

Good point - version 4.4.2 was written before 7.6 and the advent of admin.php renaming.

Thank you all for the help.

Guardian you hit the jackpot Smile there were 6 files making reference to admin.php and after replacing it to $admin_file the problem is gone.

In case someone else has this issue the files to change are cookiecheck.php and functions.php in the includes directory and links.php, index.php, case.php and adminimage.php in the admin folder.
