Hello,
I installed NukeSentinel(tm) 2.5.07 in my phpnuke 7.9 site, I have the blocks working, the admin page, but the module is not banning people.
I asked my friend to test it, I told him to copy and paste a small union code in the search page, all it did was redirect him to a white page with text "illigal operation"
I believe the problem is in mainfile.php...
The file mainfile.txt included in the NukeSentinel folder are missing some parts of the 7.9 code...
Here is what I mean.
mainfile.txt
http://eureka7extreme.net/mainfile.txt
My mainfile.php
http://eureka7extreme.net/mainfilephp.txt
Can someone help me? thank you.
EDIT:
Now it only searches for the string, it doesn't block, redirect or nothing.

well then you have a problem...
Quote: | NukeSentinel(tm) requires PHP-Nuke 7.0 - 7.9 plus Patched 2.9+ to be installed. If
you are not using Patched 2.9+ you can still use it, but you will need to make
several modifications. |
so a bit more work... |

it looks like if I do this, alot of my modules will not work due to changes... (core files)
Is there anyway to run NukeSentinel(tm) 2.5.07 in a normal 7.9 version? thank you... |

Only really really old modules won't work with the patches, and they are pretty easy to fix. It is safer to update yourself to the patches so you can install sentinel. Or switch to RavenNuke which has Sentinel pre-installed. |

Can someone just teach me how to do it in a clean 7.9 nuke? I don't want to patch anything. |

sirxazor, I am sorry to make another post without a solution, but there a very good reasons why everyone here is so adamant about this.
Installing NukeSentinel on an unpatched 7.9 version of PHP-Nuke is like installing a burgular alarm on your house but then leave the windows and doors unlocked and the alarm off.
If you do this, you'll be back in a few months complaining that your site was hacked. |
