Yes I am a noob, but how do you get to php.ini file So I can edit my short_open_tag ? Do I use phpMyAdmin ?

Thanks,

GOM

ps.

I am doing this on my local box....

ps.ps.

or where do I put this in my .htaccess ?

If you do not have access to php.ini, then make sure this setting is in your RavenNuke(tm) root folder .htaccess: PHP_FLAG short_open_tag 1.

You can put it at the end if you like. You can't modify php.ini with phpMyAdmin, and most hosts won't allow you to modify the main php.ini file. But you can usually (not always) override it by installing a copy in your root directory. Getting the copy isn't easy though... Usually, it's better to use htaccess (as you suggested above) or a PHP command to override specific settings.

Well for some reason PHP_FLAG short_open_tag 1 in my.htaccess does not want to work.. I still see the install page for like a sec. then the

http://mydomain/INSTALLATION/'.$_SERVER['PHP_SELF'].'?setup='.$setup.'

but my browser the error as 404 not 400 like in this post

http://www.ravenphpscripts.com/postt12866.html

and I found the above URL from this post.

http://www.ravenphpscripts.com/postt12902.html

Lost once again.. The only reason I want to set RN up on my local server is to migrate my DB from Nuke-8.0 to RN...
