Already running 7.6 patched

I am already running 7.6 patched, but have used RavenNuke on other sites of mine and would rather use it at this site also...not to mention I am having issues with an old installation of Nuke Sentinel.

My question is this. Can I just overwrite the files without a problem? I shouldn't need to do any upgrade scripts, is that correct?

Or would it be better to just wipe it clean after backup and just use the current database. The ladies whom I run this site for would rather NOT lose all their posts, etc.

So I guess my question is which way would be the safest and the easiest for me.

In the new 2.10.01, look in the html folder, in the HowToInstall folder is a file called upgrade.php. Open it with IE and it has directions in it on how to upgrade from non-RN versions....

I would suggest doing a test install if you have the capabilities before making the switch on your main site. You could copy your existing database over to another one and tinker with it until you have it going correctly, then do it on your main site. That way you hopefully see most of the things that you might have to do when doing your main site. If you don't have the capabilities of doing a test site setup on the net, you can use the Xampp program and do it locally on your computer and have a pretty good idea what will need to be done and how it will go on your main site......
