avatars not uploading

i am using RN 2.10.00 and when i go to upload an avatar it says it has uploaded successfully but it doesnt actually upload at all. i have not changed the storage path. however, i can select an avatar from the gallery and it will work just fine. i am using a custom theme, could this be an issue?

Search. There's some file that you have to change the permissions on. I don't recall off hand. Theme shouldn't matter.

I believe you just need to change the permissions on the modules/Forums/images/avatars folder

just changed it to 777 and it works just fine now. thanks guys.
